After 4 years of search, we have found a system that allows chrome on plastic or any other substance (wood, plaster, fiberglass) that could not be chromed otherwise. A process resisting heat up to 165F.

You have a choice of colors including the popular gold, bronze, or any other colour of your choice. In all simplicity, our system gives all products an high class appearance.

The process

The Chrome on plastic system is a spray applied three-layer system for plastic, metal or wood and any other non-conductive material. Use where conventional plating technologies are unsuitable due to cost, size, design, substrate or environmental issues. This system is currently used in job shop and production line applications. How does it work? – Three layers of proprietary paint products are used. These are:

1. Primer

After sanding the piece to eliminate all imperfections that would show on chrome, two components coating that creates a smooth surface that is reactive to the intermediate coat.

2. Intermediate coat

A multi steps process that creates a continuous reflective film. The specific steps are Activator, Distilled Water Wash, Compressed Air Blow Off.

3. Top coat

Protective 2 component automotive grade tint able clear topcoat. Gloss can be varied from chrome-like high gloss to brushed metal matte.
